About Us
Hector Perez received his Masters Degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (MAOM) from the Academy of Oriental Medicine at Austin, TX. He is also Nationally Board Certified in Oriental Medicine by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). Hector received his undergraduate education at the University of Texas at Austin graduating with a degrees in sociology and math. Between his undergraduate and graduate years Hector volunteered with Americorps, where he served as a child advocate and community liaison. He also spent time teaching math at the Khabele School in Austin. Hector is an avid cyclist who can regularly be seen pedaling around Boise and the foothills. Hector has a specific interest in helping people with chronic degenerative disease as well as helping athletes optimize their potential safely and naturally through herbal and nutritional therapy. Frances Towle received her Masters Degree in Oriental Medicine from the Academy of Oriental Medicine at Austin, TX. She is also a Nationally Board certified Diplomat in Oriental Medicine by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). This title, Dipl.OM., includes certification in the areas of Acupuncture, Herbal and Nutritional Therapy, Bio-medicine, and Traditional Chinese Medical Theory. Frances also is a Licensed Acupuncturist with the State of Idaho. Frances' undergraduate degree is in anthropology and plant and soil sciences with a focus on modern and ancient cross-cultural medical systems and ethnobotany. This study, in additional to chronic neck pain, eventually led her to pursue a Masters degree in Oriental Medicine and acupuncture! After graduating from the University of Massachusetts Frances spent time learning about sustainable agriculture and organic farming practices while working at several organic farms in the Western Massachusetts area. While there she also received her National Yoga Teacher Certification through the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health. She has taught yoga and gardened ever since. Frances is Resonance Natural Health's resident Acupuncturist and specializes in the treatment of physical pain, both acute and chronic, headaches, insomnia, women's health, digestive disorders, and stress. Hector and Frances met while in school studying Oriental Medicine and were married a few years later. They decided to move to Idaho because of their love of the outdoors and the Northwest region.
